Window Peace

Window Peace

Sitting by the window
That is a pretty typically scene
In movies, pictures and dramas
What is so good about the window anyways?

When I sit by the window
I watch seasons change
The leaves, snow, and the rain
Drips down in synchronized motion

When I sit by the window
The sun rays shines
My face slowly heats up
I stare out the window
And let my eyes wander

Sit by the window
I have quiet time
I am relaxed
I feel warm
I let out a sigh

Sitting by the window
My friend tells me a secret
I am not listening
Oh the perfect land covered with fresh snow
But I still can hear her

While I block out sounds that I hear
I see vividly what nature can bring
Seasons come and go
Animals come and go
In the end, humans come and go
I realize I am limited

The truth is that
Staring out the window
Is like looking at empty space
Empty places provides me meanings
So I stare out looking for answers

Sit by the window now
Look into the world
Because your meaning is there
The frustrations that you might have
You will find your answers, like me
So stop and stare out the window

Shark in the Water Review

Shark in the Water by VV Brown

I love this song. It has such an awesome tune to it and the lyrics are so simple with deep meanings.

What I think this song is about:

There is a girl and a boy. They are in a relationship. The girl is frustrated with something so she gets mad at the boy. She’s telling him that something is bothering her, which is the shark, and it will go after her. So she is asking him to put aside his anger towards her for getting off at him for no reason, and save her from the shark.

Because she wants the boy so bad that she lied to him to the sharks, because she only wants him to be with her. There are boundaries about lying but she could not help herself from lying to him just to get him to her. She is saying how the lying is not that serious so he better be soon to save her.

Lyrics:

Sometimes I get my head in a dilly. Feeling so lost, ticking you off. Now boy, you know me well. Said, I’m that kind of feeling. That kind of soft, that kind of silly. But when I’m in doubt, I open my mouth. And words come out, words come out like. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. There’s something underneath my bed. Oh, please believe I said. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. I caught them barking at the moon. Better be soon. High in the sky, the song that I’m singing. A sweet little lie, I cry wolf, cry. Rabbit out of the hat, yes, so that’s why I’m bringing. Some tricks up my sleeve, for noticing me. It wouldn’t cause you any harm, I just want you in my arms. I can’t help, I can’t help myself. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. There’s something underneath my bed. Oh, please believe I said. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. I caught them barking at the moon. Better be soon. (Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do). (Better be soon). (Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do [x2]). Right is right. Rules are rules. This is more like April Fool’s. I’m just winding you up, oh. Jack be nimble, Jack be quick. Please don’t make too much of it. It ain’t that serious. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. There’s something underneath my bed. Oh, please believe I said. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. I caught them barking at the moon. You better get here soon. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. Baby, there’s a shark in the water. I caught them barking at the moon. Better be soon
