Sullivan Precalculus (8th Edition)
At the University of Minnesota, to get to Calculus 1, many advisors and professors recommend that you take precalculus 1 and precalculus 2, or you may take a rigorous course with both of the courses in one semester. For being a smart person, like myself, I decided to skip precalculus 1 and jump right into precalculus 2. Of course that was not a very smart move when I have not taken any math courses in 2 years. But I did it anyway, lucky me, I made many new friends and we were able to help each other out.
Math is not all that bad. It is sometime fun because you are solving complex real life problems that many others cannot do. Also, once you smart to do the problems, then you will get use to the functions and formulas that it will be an easy A on your quizzes and tests. Unlike me, you probably will not struggle as much.
There are a lot of concepts in math that I do not understand. It would take me many hours to solve one problem, but then after the problem is solved, I understand it completely. So I’m a fast learner as long as I get pass the first problems.
If you would like to test yourself and try some problems. They are posted here.
